Information we handle

If you subscribe to alerts, we process your email address, chosen alert topics, consent and subscription status. We may retain limited security and delivery records such as request time, confirmation, bounce, complaint and unsubscribe events. The public site may use short-lived operational logs for reliability and abuse prevention.

Information we do not request

Do not provide an OpenAI password, session cookie or API key. Reset Beacon does not need these credentials for public forecasts or email alerts. The service does not use advertising trackers or an email tracking pixel.

How information is used

Subscription data is used to confirm your address, send the alert topics you selected, prevent duplicate delivery, process corrections and honor suppression requests. Operational logs are used to secure and maintain the service. We do not sell personal information or use alert subscriptions for promotional mail.

Retention and deletion

Pending subscriptions expire if they are not confirmed. Active subscription records remain while alerts are enabled. Unsubscribe, bounce and complaint suppression records are retained as needed to prevent unwanted delivery. Operational logs are kept for a limited period appropriate to security and diagnosis.

Service providers

Hosting, DNS protection and email delivery providers process limited data on Reset Beacon’s behalf. Their handling is governed by their own terms and our service configuration.

Your choices

Every alert includes a one-click unsubscribe mechanism and a visible unsubscribe link. You may opt out at any time. A role-based privacy contact will be published before subscriptions are enabled.

Changes

Material changes will update the effective date on this page. A change that affects existing email consent will not silently broaden the messages you agreed to receive.
